Ways to Volunteer

There are many ways for you to get involved with your local Montgomery County fire company based off YOUR interest. Regardless of how you get involved, you’ll be a key part in keeping your community safe.

Opportunities Include:

Firefighters

Protect property and help save lives during an emergency or natural disaster. You’ll learn to advance a hose line, how to position a ladder dependent on the situation, and perform search-and-rescue duties. Some companies even offer water rescue training. The opportunities are vast.

EMTs

Administer pre-hospital medical care. Transport the sick and injured to the hospitals. Respond to rescue calls such motor vehicle accidents, carbon monoxide alarms and other medical emergencies.

Fire Police

Keep community members and responders safe by directing traffic and controlling crowds. Provide general assistance to other first responders.

Junior Firefighters

Gain experience at your local fire company by lending a hand and begin fire training that will prepare you to become a full member when you turn 18 years old. Volunteering is also a great way to accredit community service hours.

Administrative Volunteers

Teach fire safety, assist at community events, fundraising and grant writing, bookkeeping, website and social media updates and much more. Any skills you bring, we can use!
